Delete your SoulMates Quest account

1. In the app
Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm, and enter your password if you sign in with an email and password. Deletion starts straight away and cannot be undone.
2. Without the app
Email privacy@soulmates.quest [address being set up] with the subject "Delete my account".
3. How we check it is you
Write from the email address you use for SoulMates Quest. If we cannot match your request to an account, we will ask you to confirm in another way [to be confirmed]. We never ask for your password.
4. What is deleted
Your account, profile, photos, birth details, location, answers, interests, agreements, reading history, matches and messages, your quizzes and your friends' answers to them, and your own answers to other members' quizzes.
5. What is kept
- Safety reports made by you or about you, and the evidence saved with them, without the link to your account. They are deleted automatically 12 months after the report was submitted.
- Your sign-in record, if you signed in with Google, Apple or an email link. This record is held by our authentication provider and is not yet removed automatically when you delete your account. How it is removed: [to be confirmed]
- Backups: copies may remain in backups for [period to be confirmed].

6. Legal and safety exceptions
If specific information must be preserved for a legal claim, an investigation or a legal obligation, we keep only that information, and only for as long as needed.
7. Your matches and conversations
Each of your matches ends for the other person too, and the whole conversation disappears for both of you.
8. When it is complete
Deletion in the app takes effect immediately. Requests by email are completed within one month.
