Seven of Cups
- imagination
- choices
- daydreams
- illusion
On the card
A figure seen in silhouette stands before seven cups floating in clouds, each holding a vision such as a face, a veiled figure, a serpent, a castle, jewels, a wreath and a dragon.
Upright
Your imagination is wide awake. This card shows many enticing possibilities, dreams and fantasies, not all of them real or lasting. Enjoy the creativity, yet be careful not to mistake wishes for plans. Ask which vision truly matches your values, and take one grounded step toward it.
Reversed
The mist begins to lift. You may find clarity, willpower and a firm sense of what you actually want. This is a good moment to turn a dream into a concrete project. Let go of options that only glitter, and commit to the one that feels true.
- Love & connection
- You may idealise someone or imagine many possible futures. Enjoy dreaming, and also get to know the real person in front of you.
- Work & purpose
- There are many ideas and paths to choose from. Prioritise, test them against reality and focus your energy.
- A prompt for you
- Choose one dream and give it real ground to grow.
