Major Arcana
Justice
- fairness
- truth
- balance
- accountability
On the card
A crowned figure in red sits between two pillars, holding an upright sword in the right hand and a pair of scales in the left, before a purple veil.
Upright
Justice asks for honesty, fairness and clear thinking. It invites you to weigh things as they truly are, take responsibility for your part and act in a way you can stand behind. Choices made with integrity tend to bring balance over time.
Reversed
Reversed, Justice can point to imbalance, bias or avoiding responsibility – your own or someone else's. It may also show being too harsh in judging yourself or others. Look for the fuller picture and aim for a fairness that includes compassion.
